Today is the day!!

Welcome to the Character Makeover journey! This journey is all about us, as women, becoming all that God has for us. It's about developing some of the essential character qualities that will help us fulfill God's dreams for our lives. It's about leaving a legacy with our lives.

Our purpose for this Character Makeover Online Community is to be a safe place where we as women can grow together toward Christ. This is a "grace-filled" journey. So, know that we aren't here to judge or chastise anyone...we're here to act as your coach or guide as we learn together how to become the women God desires.

What should you expect from this blog?

- daily (Monday-Friday) posts from an iBloom "Character Coach." She will encourage, challenge, and support you on your Character Makeover journey.

- occasional video/audio from our LIVE 40-day journey in Lexington, KY.

- a safe online community where we can grow together as women becoming more like Christ

What should you be doing?

- Purchase the book Character Makeover: 40 days with a Life Coach to create the best you.

- This week, is all about getting to know one another. You'll have the opportunity to "meet" each of your Character Coaches as they share a little more about themselves. This is a community, so we want to get to know you as well. So, be sure tell about yourself in the comment section.

Be sure to include details about your:

- Family / Friends
- Faith
- Career
- How you found this study/Character Makeover
- AND anything else you want to share!

Basically give us a brief synopsis/overview of YOU!

Also, be sure to read the introduction (pgs. 9-18) in Character Makeover.

- Starting next week, our 40-day journey will begin! We will cover one Chapter (or character quality per week). Each chapter is divided into 5 days worth of material. So, we invite you to journey with us each week (Monday-Friday), as we encourage, support, and challenge one another on this journey.

- Share/Build Community in the comment section! We want to hear what God is doing in your life. So, be sure to share your ah-ha moments, prayer requests, praises, and anything else you feel led to share!

So, fasten your seat belts and get ready for God to transform you from the inside out.

Blessings,

Thanks Kelly for inviting us to comment and Thanks Noelle for setting this up for us.
My name is Charlene.
I am caregiver to my quadriplegic husband and my 89 year old aunt. I live in a tiny town in California. I am mother to two grown men, mother-in-law to two wonderful women and grandmother to two fantastic baby boys.
The church I go to has a women's group that combines exercise and Bible study. Its called Ecclesiastes 3:6. With the Character Makeover we are gaining godly character and losing inches.
I've read the introduction and love the way the book is set up. So many "self-help" books simply lecture and expect the reader to absorb the information. This book not only gives you information but gives you the tools to actually change. I think this study will be especially beneficial.
I really like the statement that we have to start with humility because if we don't then everything else is a waste of time.
Does that mean we can't brag about how we are progressing? (grin)

Hello Charlene...welcome! I'm SO glad you are joining us for this online journey!

Thanks for being the first to share your story and what you're looking forward to!

Great point about bragging about our progress...that's what is so great about this journey is because we recognize that God is the one molding and shaping us, so we're really bragging on HIM!

I'm looking forward to getting to know you Charlene! Blessings!

Hi! I'm Julie Arduini and came via Christian Women Take Root. I've been married for 12 years and we have 2 children, 10 and 5. We live in NE Ohio. In 2007 I started writing actively as my promise to surrender fears to God and as Joyce Meyer says, "Do it afraid." God has truly blessed me with opening writing doors.

I read the introduction and it's got me excited and nervous---a good thing. I'm learning after some roller coaster years of chronic illness, death in family, major move, and insurance battles over our daughter, I'm struggling with truly trusting God. I'm holding on a lot more to Julie than Jesus and I want to be done with that! Looking at the book briefly I know this is the means God will bring about transformation.

Glad to be journeying with you!

Hi. My name is Sharee and I am 39 and am from Australia. I have been married for 15 years and have 4 children - eldest is 12 and youngest is 5. I am excited about where God has me right at this moment in time - I am learning new things despite a life of knowing Him. I have had my fair share of "lukewarm" moments in my Christian walk but know that God has always been watching over me. I look forward to sharing in this journey. I have the book and am ready to go!

Hi everyone! What an awesome place to be able to come together with women all over the globe who love God enough to take on the biggest challenge of all- trying to get ourselves in line with God's plan for us!

My name is Jill and I live in Lexington, KY where the live study is taking place. I have a 9-year- old son and a 7-year-old daughter. I have been married for 13 years to a wonderful man and will be turning "29 again" tomorrow! :)

I teach classes on using stamping in scrapbooking and hand-made cards. My classes interfere with a few of the Bible Study nights, so I decided to join the blog group to help bridge the gap with what I miss from the live group.

Our group started last Tuesday night (and was wonderful!) When I sat down to do my regular Bible reading on Wednesday morning, the very first passage that I read was Ezra 8:22b that said, "that we might humble ourselves before our God to seek from Him a straight and right way for us, our little ones, and all our possesions."

As I'm in my "God hunt" mode I couldn't help but know that this was no coincidence! God's confirming to me that it all starts with me humbling myself to Him and letting Him do the work in and through me that He wants to do through this study and in my life! I'm ready to see what exciting things God does through this study and great group of women!

My book is here my book is here! Hi everyone! My name is Venus, I am 31 and I came to this study via Christian Women Take Root. I was married for 11 years but am recently divorced. I have a 13 year old son and a 9 year old daughter. I have been wanting to jump into a career for God for some time now but God is still telling me "Not yet." I know he is still molding me and I am really struggling with patience and trust right now. I know this study will be so helpful and eye opening to me. Thank you all so much!

I'm Rhonda. I'm a SAHM of 2 and have been married for 15 years. My kids are in elementary and middle school. I write as much and as often as I can dividing my time between blogs, book reviews, articles, short stories and my novel.

My goal with this study is to improve my relationship with God causing a trickle down effect on my family. I know what path God wants me on at this point in my life, I just want to be more intuned to it so that I can follow His will.

Hello! I know I am joining in late. But I found this site and was inspired to go through the book. And I still want to follow along here on the blog.

I am happily married. My husband and I have been married for over three years. In the last three years I have seen God do such an amazing work in both of us. We are both realizing more and more who we are before an amazing and Holy God! However, neither of us are perfect (Which is why I need this study).

I am a firm Bible believer and I have a desire to become more Christlike. I strive to also be a better more Godly wife each day.

I am a stay at home wife. I take great pride in my Holy Calling as helper.

Thanks for starting this blog!
